Strategic Assets in a
World-Class Nickel District
Sudbury has become one of the world’s most significant producers of nickel and copper and lays claim to be the center of the mining industry in Canada. Mining manufacturing, sales, educational facilities, research and development, mine services, specialized mine contracting, processing and smelting facilities along with a suite of major mining companies call Sudbury home.
The Sudbury Basin has over 100 years of production history. The nickel and copper producing mines in Sudbury were the building blocks and flagship operations for former Canadian mining titans INCO and Falconbridge, before their sale in 2006 to Vale and Glencore (Xstrata) respectively.
Crean Hill
The Crean Hill Mine was historically operated by INCO and mined over 20 million tonnes of nickel, copper and PGM ore. As a brownfield, past producing site, Crean Hill has the potential to be brought back into initial production quickly.
Shakespeare
The Shakespeare project is a brownfield, past-producing mine site with an existing National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate of over 20 million tonnes (AGP Mining Consultants, 2022).
A Long Term, Multi-Tier Business Plan
& Growth Strategy
Magna’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.
We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.
